Short Pull on Auto-Lock Zipper Head
#5 & #7 coil is painful!
The size of the coil is the diameter of the nylon "fishing line" that is coiled around & sewn to the zipper tape,
plus how tightly it is sewn together,
plus how wide the zipper coil is when closed.
So it is very difficult to discern whether your zipper is a #5 or #7.
If you are replacing the broken head on your jacket, & you still have the part that runs on the zipper, look at the top of the head.
If it is pointed, it is probably a #7.
If it is rounded, it is probably a #5.
There are hundreds of zipper manufacturers in the world & EACH makes their own molds for their zipper heads. This is a rough guess as to what fits your zipper.
So to cover your bases, get a #5 & #7 COIL AUTO-LOCK HEAD.
Don't forget 2 top stops.
I have videos on the left under "Videos" to help you replace the pull but it is easy!
