#10 Zipper is VERY large.
Closed zipper coil is 3/8" across.
Tape & coil is just over 2" across.
Pulls or heads are non-locking bodies with 2" pulls.
Tape does NOT signify the type or weight of a zipper as you can attach any coil or tooth to any sort of tape. What makes a zipper strong is the material the coil or tooth is made out of and how it attaches together. Don't assume just because a zipper is big that it is stronger or will last longer than a smaller zipper. Names on zippers don't make them stronger either.
Use this zipper on large tents, messenger bags, tarps.
If you are replacing a zipper in a back-packing tent, use #5 or #8. #10 zipper is too heavy.
Making cushions? Use #5 coil zipper.
The manufacturer that I buy this zipper from produces zippers for the military. Tested in much worse climate than Colorado!
You may purchase pulls WITH tape here or use your back button & order pulls in the next picture.
