#7 coil tape is just a big bigger than #5 or 5mm. Pulls need to be #7 too.
This is YARDAGE but #7 is being used more & more in jackets as separating zippers.
#7 coil is painful..... Most manufacturers produce #5 or #7 and call them that meaning the coil is 5mm or 7mm across the closed coil. HOWEVER, YKK calls #7 coil either #5 or #7 depending on where it comes from as they have purchased zipper manufacturers around the world.
If you are currently ordering #5 from YKK, the size of the zipper coil does not match with standard #5 zipper from other manufacturers. MOST of the #5 YKK matches with my #7.
SO I am calling #5 YKK, #7 just to keep is separate from #5 coil that I currently stock.
