#5 nylon coil on polyester tape

This would be a good replacement zipper for a fancier jacket. The nylon coil is supple & doesn't poke out when you sit down as much as a molded plastic zipper does.

Easily shortened from the top for your project.

If you need to shorten this zipper, order 2 Top Stops for #5 zippers. The top stops keep the pull from running off the top of your zipper.

Ready to wear seems to be using a lot of #3 coil REVERSE zippers in jackets. Because of the size of the coil, the way the zipper head rides on the back of the tape & the tightness of the new jackets, the zippers fail. Use a little heavier zipper, this #5 to replace the lighter weight zippers.
