Trying to replace a zipper head or slider on a jacket zipper is always an iffy proposition. There are hundreds of zipper manufacturers in the world & so you never know. But it's worth the try instead of replacing the whole zipper.

Why you want an "auto-lock head": There is a little pin that drops down into the zipper teeth when you quit pulling. Keeps the zipper from opening up further. Auto-locks work best for jackets, pants or skirts, & upholstery.
